THE SAKDALISTA UPRISING


The Sakdalista uprising was a peasant rebellion in the agricultural area of central Luzon,particularly in Bulacan and Laguna provinces . On the night of May 2–3, 1935. Though quickly crushed, the revolt of the Sakdalistas warned of Filipino peasant frustration with the oppressive land tenancy situation.
The Sakdal (Tagalog: “Accuse”) movement was founded in 1930 by Benigno Ramos, a former government clerk.
The sakdalistas estabilished a new provisional government and the republic in San ildefonso, Bulacan Province and hoisted a plane red flag .
In may 12 the Republic and his government finished to exist.
