THE FLAG OF MARIANO LLANERA
The flag of General Mariano Llanera from Cabiao, Nueva Ecija, created in 1896 was a particular flag, it looked like the old pirate's flag of the Caribbean Area.
The field of it was black with a skull and crossed bones in white, on the hoist of the flag there was a big white K.
Andres Bonifacio made fun of this so strange flag calling it " bungo ni Llanera " (Llanera skull).
The color and the symbols of this flag don't have any kind of link with the pirate's flag .
The black color was the color of the hood of the katipuneros of the first degree, worn during their secret meetings and rituals, the skull and the crossed bones were symbols of death for the enemies but few know that this sign is clearly linked to Freemasonry and was carved on the graves of Freemasons, but still was the first flag of the Templars . In addition to the Patent cross, the Knights of Christ it's said that they brought on board its vessels such as symbol, and attacked all enemy ships sacking them killing the crew, there was a tradition of a pirate ship that had a similar flag.
For some esotericists, the skull represents the head of St. John the Baptist, the true Messiah Templar.

This KKK Flag is completely hand sewn and was sold in U.S.A. at the estate auction of General Bandholtz several years ago. The auctioneers did not know it was a Filipino flag and sold it as a flag of the American white racist group, the Klu Klux Klan!
The flag is one of the few original flags of the katipunan with a dot following each K and these letters sewn in big size.
